Dr. Lange's research focuses on proteins, the structural and functional building blocks of a cell.

Childhood Cancer Research

He combines proteomics and bioinformatics to monitor abnormal proteins in the body and detect how they are changed in cancer. His team is particularly interested in how the post-translational modification of proteins - the changes that occur to a protein as it becomes "mature" - affects cancer progression and secondary disease.
