Lighting up the Night for a Great Cause - 2015

Bortolo and his family has one of the most beautiful and largest light displays in the city and it's all for an important cause.

Last year, they raised over $7,000 for the Michael Cuccione Foundation with the donation box he has out with his display. As early as October, Bortolo begins setting up his beautiful light show at 950 Kensington Avenue and the house is glowing brightly every evening.

The display will be up until Jan. 11th. Bortolo hopes to raise at least $10,000 or even more for this important cause. No child should suffer or loose their precious life to cancer.

Since 2001, Bortolo has collected more than $75,000 for the Michael Cuccione Foundation. He chose the foundation because the Cuccione's are family friends and he knew Michael.

Michael was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 1994, at the age of nine. By the age of 11, he raised $130,000 for childhood cancer research with a CD he produced, called Make a Difference. Bortolo wants to continue to help Michael with his efforts and would like to challenge everyone to give what ever they can to help Make A Difference also.

Please visit 950 Kensington Avenue in Burnaby

and drop what ever you can in the donation box to help these children that suffer so much!
